I have owned my own businesses since I was 16 years of age when I employed ‘the other kids’ to wash cars for me.
I progressed to owning a manufacturing business along with wholesale and retail outlets, employing over 150 people. I have traded on my own as a ‘sole trader’ and as a director of a Limited Company. I have also run ‘other peoples’ companies for them and been employed as a ‘trouble shooter’. I have over 30 years experience of running businesses.
Finding and refining an idea that you have into a successful business is the first challenge for all entrepreneurs. Many people want to run their own business and they have the aptitude and drive to do it, but sometimes they struggle to pin down a viable idea.
All businesses large or small, young or established either meet a need, or provide a solution to a problem for a customer or client. In the following blogs I will be giving tips to help inspire you to explore new areas and ideas, and to get you thinking in practical terms about the products or services that you could offer.
I will endeavour to cover as many questions as I can to assist you in setting up on your own, and I hope that by your reading my blogs they will help motivate, encourage and inspire you to becoming successful and fulfil your business dreams.
Please feel free to email me with your business start up questions and I will endevour to give you my opinion on this site.
